Stephen Cole wins Hickory Stump Short Story Competition

We are proud to present contest winner Stephen Cole’s “Sisters Through a Window,” a poignant and structured look at the lives of Russian Jewish immigrant family during the World War Two era.

We were struck by the structure and control Stephen used in his storytelling, the care with which he puts all his pieces in place to provide us with a good read.
